The Kansas City Chiefs Release Wide Receiver Kadarius Toney

The Kansas City Chiefs are releasing talented yet controversial wide receiver Kadarius Toney. This is after winning two Super Bowls with the team and being a player smothered with talent but failing to live up to lofty expectations.

Toney was originally drafted by the New York Giants at 20th overall in the first round of the NFL draft, but was definitely regarded as a bust for the Giants. He spent most of his career for the Giants injured. He started just 5 games and caught a grand total of zero touchdowns. Before they sent him to the Kansas City Chiefs. He ended up with one of the biggest catches in the Chiefs' back- to-back Super Bowl runs-which remains the biggest moment of his career.

Even though Andy Reid, Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs couldn't unlock his full potential, I would be shocked if Toney ends up being signed elsewhere during this season. He's still fast and if he can get rid of his drops he could become electric. There will be a team that gets tantalized by his talent.
