LeBron James Receives Prestigious American Honor

LeBron James has almost every accomplishment an athlete could ever dream of. He's won a gold medal, MVP awards, and NBA Championships. Now, James is about to do something no basketball player in the United States of America has ever done. 

LeBron James is set to etch his name into Olympic history. The 39-year-old has been chosen as the flag bearer for Team USA’s men’s team at the upcoming Paris Olympics, making him the first male basketball player to do so.

It's been an interesting time for Team USA in some of these showcase games. They haven't lost yet, but they have struggled to pull away from opponents. We will see how they fare when the real games begin. The star-studded USA team should be heavy favorites in every game.

James, a four-time NBA champion and widely regarded as one of the greatest basketball players of all time, will be making his fourth Olympic appearance for Team USA. The Lakers legend, who made his Olympics debut in Athens in 2004, has two gold medals to his name.
