Coffee Rankings: Pergamino Cafe in Medellin Colombia

Stuff That Matters Podcast

Pergamino Cafe in Medellin, Colombia is one of the most beautiful, vibrant, and tasty coffee shops I have been to in my life. This is my Pergamino Cafe Coffee Review. In Medellin, compared to the United States, the coffee shops have been louder, more social, bigger, and the coffee just tastes different being the World’s Capital of coffee!

On Stuff That Matters with Sami Jarjour, which you can find on Spotify, Apple, and Youtube, I have decided to record my podcast once a week at a different coffee shop, all around the world, but mostly in the United States as I travel back home to Phoenix in October.

I will be ranking coffee shops, one by one, as the list continues, making top 10, 20, 30 lists and beyond as we grow. So in honor of being the 1st ever coffee review, I will rank Pergamino, number 1, of course.

Pergamino takes the cake for ‘most popular cafe in El Poblado, and there’s always a line and a wait at its Carrera 37 location. It’s vibrant, fun, and overall a perfect experience. They do have multiple locations now.

There are a few Pergamino Cafes and two really close to each other in the Parque Lleras area. The one I’m referring to is not this one, even though I prefer more hidden gem cafes, is next door to Matilde in the secret portion of Provenza. But this one is also a gem and worth going to, as I made my way there the other day.

Via Medellin Guru: “The interior is sleek and warm, with touches of wood everywhere. There’s outdoor seating on a patio next to the sidewalk, and a second floor seating area that overlooks the street. As a plus, Calle 10B is quiet, leafy and hilly, presenting a rather different scene from sitting outside at Pergamino’s original Poblado location on the busier Carrera 37.”

If you’re looking for good co-working spots, this truly is an amazing place to get your juice flowing, and so here’s to my list that will be update on the weekly:

1. Pergamino Cafe – Medellin Colombia

Pergamino Café is a craft roaster with 3 specialty shop in Medellin. At our shops we serve only the best coffees from our own farms or from our allied producer program throughout the country. We roast 3 times a week to guarantee the freshest coffee and our baristas are trained consistently. We also serve fresh baked goods from a great local bakery.
