Couch Talk: The Seahawks Take Down The Colts Without A Heart Attack

Seahawks Recap Podcast

The Seattle Seahawks really gave a beautiful win, on the road in Indianapolis, against a really good Colts football team. Not only did that give us this great 1-0 start, they did it without the usual stress of Seahawks Sundays. Maybe this year is finally different. Shane Waldron shined in his debut as Seahawks offensive coordinator and Russell Wilson seems to really love it. Lets recap the moments:

Gerald Everett scores in his Seahawks debut:

This was certainly great to see, the Seahawks have had so many good tight ends of late, but a lot of injuries, today the newcomer Gerald Everett scored early and impressed. Shan Waldron surely loved him when coaching with the Rams and you should’ve known that they would incorporate him quickly in this offense with Russell Wilson.

The Sports ON Tap Seattle podcast with brothers George & Sami recapped the great moments of this game:

Russell Wilson QB Sneak:

This might come as a weird highlight to many, but for me, I loved this. The Seahawks haven’t been using Russell Wilson for QB sneaks, but its so successful and I’ve always wanted to see it. It’s been guaranteed 1st downs for Tom Brady literally FOREVER and no injuries, so I always wanted to see Russell Wilson do it, they finally did and got the 1st!

Tyler Lockett & Tyler Lockett:

DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett look like they could be the best WR duo in the NFL and having one beast and one speed guy seems to work well. It worked today as Tyler Lockett got loose TWO times for touchdowns. I don’t mean any simple touchdowns, we are talking INSANE throws and catches:

We won’t forget the fact that DK Metcalf did something special himself.

Will Dissly stiff arm:

Gerald Everett might be the main man for TEs in Seattle but Dissly still got his fair share of moments and looks healthy for once, oh and he Derrick Henry’ed this guy:

Simply, Pete Carroll rocked fresh kicks again:

Darrell Taylor could be a HUGE boost for this defense:

We know the Seahawks defense has its fair share of issues, especially with some pass coverage, but we did look good. The defense didn’t have many huge plays but we had a great sack from Benson Mayowa, and of course Darrell Taylor. Everyone is happy to see Taylor get his moment and hopefully his can be momentum to boost his career and get him going!

28-16 was the final score for the Seahawks, but it was better than a 12-point win, it was just clean. Time to celebrate but also time to get to 2-0 cause this NFC West division WILL NOT BE EASY. The Rams will beat the Bears, the Cardinals dominated the Titans, and the 49ers got a good win with Jimmy G looking great!
