Athletes who Rock at Other Popular Sports

Some athletes have a degree of dominance on the court or the field. Just because some are good at their own sport, does not mean that they are not good at any others. When you look at Bo Jackson, Brian Jordan, Deion Sanders and more, you will soon see that they are very good at other sports too. Take a look below to find out more.

LeBron James

LeBron is quite possibly one of the most talented ballers on the planet. When he’s not grabbing balls from the board, he likes to catch passes from a QB. He played as a wide receiver in high school and he also has an All-Star accolade as well. With him being a big fan of Cleveland, it wouldn’t be surprising if he would have earned himself a starting role for the Browns.

Michael Phelps

Unless you have been hiding away for the last 10 years or so, you probably know who Michael Phelps is. He is the world record holder as he’s won the most medals in any Olympic career. As he’s such a talented swimmer, it’s hard to imagine him at anything else. That being said, he can easily drive the ball off a tee with ease. He has a real passion for golf and he is always trying to do everything he can to get better at everything that he puts his mind to.

Charlie Ward

Charlie Ward is a Heisman Trophy winner and you would have thought he’d have chosen the gridiron, but in his case, he thought he could easily make a career on the hardwood instead. He thought he’d be able to achieve a lot of success there and this led him to experiencing a career that went on to last 11 years. He was also drafted twice into the MLB and shines in the tennis court. He has participated in the Arthur Ashe Amateur event as well. With all of his talent, it would not be surprising to see him pick up some badminton rackets at some point in the future, because his talent seems to know no bounds.

Tim Duncan

Duncan has also enjoyed quite a lot of success in the pool. He knew that he had a good frame, and therefore thought swimming would be a good activity for him to partake in. Some believe that if he did go on to participate in the Olympics, he might have dominated in the same way. He has four NBA titles under his belt, and some say that he is going to be a Hall of Famer as well. He probably doesn’t regret his decision to join the NBA, but had he pursued swimming, he could have been one of the greats.

Michael Jordan

Michael Jordan is one of the best players in the history of NBA. When he decided to walk away from the game at age 30, it was surprising, but he joined the diamond instead. Even though he did have a few spring trainings with some big-league clubs, he was unsuccessful. That being said, it would be interesting to see where he would have ended up if he chose to wield a bat over wearing baggy shorts.
