Today in sports history December 28th, 1975 Dallas Cowboys QB Roger Staubach threw a long touchdown pass at the end of the game against the Minnesota Vikings to win the game. He dubbed it the Hail Mary and the original Hail Mary was born. After the game Roger Staubach was asked about the pass and he simply said ” You could call it a hail mary. you through it up and pray”.
Love it as Roger said “you throw it up and pray! #HailMary

The Hail Mary is one of the most exciting plays in all of sports when executed. And the original hail mary started it all.
