Today In Sports History December 14th: Joe Horn Cell Phone Celebration

Joe Horn Cell Phone Celebration

Today in sports history December 14th, 2003. New Orleans Saints Joe Horn scored a touchdown and made one of the most memorable TD celebrations of all time. Joe Horn pulled a cell phone from underneath the goal post & pretended to make a call. He was fined $30K by the NFL.

I felt like this was an end to an era to where props were coming out and people were trying to make the best TD celebrations. This along with Terrell Owens pulling a sharpie out of his socks to sign the football after a touchdown were the two most memorable. In a way I wish props were allowed to come back in the NFL.
