Today in sports history November 27th, 1998 Texas Longhorns running back Ricky Williams broke Tony Dorsett’s rushing record. Ricky Williams was an absolute beast at Texas and one of the most fun running backs in history of college football.

Ricky Williams is now third all time in rushing yards in NCAA history. The all time leader in rushing yards is now Donnel Pumphery of San Diego State who ran for 6,405 in 54 games. Followed by Ron Dayne from Wisconsin 6,397 yards in only 43 games.
