Today In Sports History October 30th: The Rumble In The Jungle

Today in sports history October 30th, 1974 Muhammad Ali knocked out George Foreman in the “Rumble In The Jungle” in Zaire. At the time George Foreman was the undefeated heavy weight champion of the world. During this boxing match the “Rope A Dope” was patented and became known. Muhammad Ali would let George Foreman think he’s winning the fight, and go at nearly half speed before accelrating and knocking out George Foreman.
