Today In Sports History September 27: Mark McGuire Gets 70

Today in sports history September 27, 1998. Mark McGuire becomes first player in MLB history to hit 70 home runs in one season. Now, keep in mind that Mark McGuire was injecting more horse cattle steriods than is humanly safe and the ball was flying out of the yard like he was playing tee-ball. But still, the whole league was on steriods. Not just Mark McGuire so I have to say it’s still impressive.
