Sam Presti has alway been known as an executive that makes the right moves, and the right major moves for the Oklahoma City Thunder and formally my hometown Seattle SuperSonics. This one hurts because of that reason, but I still appreciate what he does.
Presti was made General Manager of the Sonics back in 2007 so he has been in the organization for nearly 13 years, which also means he was part of a lot of things happening.
The big 3 of Kevin Durant, James Harden, and Russell Westbrook was all part of Presti’s work. After that era was over, he has been part of bringing Paul George to OKC, resigning Westbrook and eventually getting the assets that he has now for both of them. Not only do they have a young core and Chris Paul who will be a key trade piece but they have a ridiculous mount of picks.

Yeah this is no joke. The Oklahoma City future 1st round draft picks are as follows:
- 2020: OKC, Denver Nuggets (2 total 1st round picks)
- 2021: OKC, Miami Heat (2)
- 2022: OKC, Los Angeles Clippers (2)
- 2023: OKC, Miami Heat (2)
- 2024: OKC, Los Angeles Clippers, Houston Rockets (3)
- 2025: OKC (1)
- 2026: OKC, Los Angeles Clippers, Houston Rockets (3)
The #NBA is back in full force. After seeing Paul George and Russell Westbrook get knocked out in the second round, I quickly figured out that Sam Presti and the OKC Thunder really tricked the rest of the league. @thesportsontap @SONTHoops #ThunderUp https://t.co/IMRx3G1jYW pic.twitter.com/OfCbYd7Igl
