Today in sports history September 10th, 1989 Deion Sanders played in his first NFL game for the Atlanta Falcons and returned a punt for a touchdown. Only 5 days ealier he was playing in a Major League Baseball game where he hit a homerun. Truly a once in a generation type of athlete.

Deion Sanders as we all know went on to have a amazing career. He was flashy, fun, and always entertaining. It’s going to be absolutely hard for us to ever see a two sport athlete ever again. With the amount of time and travel taking toll on today’s players it would be nearly impossible. But Deion was one of a kind.
