ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith reacted today to the news today that Steve Nash was hired as the new head coach of the Brooklyn Nets by calling it “white privilege” because there are more qualified black coaches who don’t have jobs according to Stephen A. Smith:
Stephen A. Smith calls Steve Nash to the Nets “white privilege”.. to be fair what was Derek Fisher and Jason Kidd? Byron Scott? This is not white privilege.. this is former player privilege

I went on Twitter and disagreed witht the statement because in reality this has nothing to do with race but more has to do with former point guards getting jobs:
Stephen A. Smith calls the Steve Nash hiring "white privilege". Come on man.. it's a former PG getting a coaching job in NYC privilege. Third time now:
Nets- Jason Kidd (multi-race)
Knicks- Derek Fisher (black)
Nets- Steve Nash (White.. Canadian too)— George Jarjour (@gjarjour) September 3, 2020
