Mike Trout Breaks The Record For Most Expensive Card Ever Sold

Move over Honus Wagner we got a new king of baseball cards. And that new honor to the world’s most expensive baseball card now belongs to Mike Trout. The Mike Trout superfractor autograph rookie card sold for a record $3.84 million dollars.

SI- A Mike Trout rookie card set the new record for highest-price sold at auction on Saturday night when it was purchased for nearly $4 million, Goldin Auctions announced Sunday. The 2009 Bowman Chrome Draft Prospects Mike Trout Superfractor signed Rookie Card Serial sold for $3.936 million, surpassing the previous record held by a 1909 Honus Wagner T-206 card, which sold for $3.12 million in 2016. The identity of the Trout card’s buyer was not made public.

I know Mike Trout has finished in the top 2 of the MVP every year in his career when he played more than 130 games. And he’s the closest thing we’ve seen to a perfect baseball player. But, this has to be the most impressive feat of his career.
