UFC FIGHT NIGHT: BRUNSON vs. SHAHBAZYAN FIGHT PICKS

UFC FIGHT NIGHT

The UFC is back home from Fight Island but that does not mean that the action is letting up. We are 2 weeks out from UFC 252: Miocic v Cormier 3, so the build will continue to be strong and steady. Tonight is no different as the UFC is bringing it LIVE from the Apex and exclusively on ESPN+ starting at 6 PMCT. Since it’s a little bit more of a truncated card we will go into the card as a whole but only make 3 official picks.

Let’s take a look at the odds for the whole card:

UFC FIGHT NIGHT

A couple of really exciting fighters on this card. I know personally I’m looking forward to the Vicente Luque vs. Randy Brown fight, which is going to be very fun. I think Luque is so extremely tough but Brown definitely has all of the tools to end the fight quickly. Gerald Meerschaert is another personal favorite of mine, he’s facing another long time veteran in Ed Herman so that should be a very fun fight as well. I can get excited all I want about these fights but you guys are here for the picks so let me give them to you.

FIGHT: Kevin Holland (-220) vs Trevin Giles (+180)

This just has all of the makings to be a great fight. Kevin Holland is a very very exciting fighter, while Giles can just straight up hang. I’ve been going back and forth on how to pick this fight but at the end of the day, I’m going to go with the value, give me Giles (+180).

PICK: Trevin Giles (+180)

FIGHT: Joanne Calderwood (-155) vs Jennifer Maia (+130)

Give me JoJo in this fight. It’s purely gut for me but Maia has just really never impressed me much. They have similar resumes but I just like JoJo to get this win in the co-main event.

PICK: Joanne Calderwood (-155)

FIGHT: Edmen Shahbazyan (-360) vs Derek Brunson (+280)

Edmen Shahbazyan has had 3 UFC fights, all 1st round finishes, he’s 11-0, he’s 22 years old and he’s going to win this fight. Sure it’s definitely the toughest matchup that he’s had to date and Derek Brunson truly is no slouch. This is a test, Shahbazyan will pass. The number is really high but that’s just how much hype is behind this guy. He should really excite in his first main event.

Here are a few of his finishes inside the Octagon.

PICK: Edmen Shahbazyan (-360)
