Back!!! THE SACRAMENTO KINGS ARE BACK! Before the Sacramento Kings begin their 2.0 Bubble Season let me recap our chances and opponents going into the most important stretch of King’s basketball in the last decade.
Losing has become the norm for Sacramento Kings fans – but the Kings have 8 games to make the playoffs for the first time since the 05/06 season when Kevin Martin electrified the home that used to be Arco Area.
Marvin Bagley is out for the remainder of the season while injuries continue to shape the look of Season 2.0. Fortunately, Sacramento went much of the season without him so it may not hurt on-court chemistry like other teams.
My predictions for the 8 games that will determine my happiness for the months to come:
- San Antonio Spurs (7/31)
- Orlando Magic (8/2)
- Dallas Mavericks (8/4)
- New Orleans Pelicans (8/6)
- Brooklyn Nets (8/7)
- Houston Rockets (8/9)
- New Orleans Pelicans (8/11)
- Los Angeles Lakers (8/13)
The Kings currently sit at 28-36 and 3.5 games behind the Grizzlies. They will need to either finish the stretch in the 8 seed or within 4 games of them for the playoff opportunity. I think the Kings will be playing playoff basketball. I put my money where my mouth is by making a $2.63 bet on Sacramento coming out of the WCF. I do not play around with my money.
With DeAaron Fox being the league’s forgotten young star, FIBA Bogi forgetting he’s playing in the states, Buddy Hield the forgotten 3 Point Champion, Richaun Holmes forgetting the rules and ESPN forgetting we exist in every prediction, it’s time to make some people remember why we are Sacramento Proud.
NOTE: We are new on Twitter. Come give us a follow you die hard Kings fans!!!
