Let’s Grade Roger Goodell’s Basement

Roger Goodell has his basement ready for tonight’s NFL draft which will be the first ever hosted electronically (thanks COVID). I am sure there will a ton of hiccups and weird shit going down but Goodell decided to give us a good old tour of the basement set up for the draft tonight and I decided to grade out the basement:

Furniture 7.5/10:

The chair looks super comfortable. I would love to sit there and watch games all day. However, it’s ONE chair. Does Goodell not enjoy the company of others? His chair looks like a solid 8.5. A massage chair from Japan would be a 10. I mean look at these Japanese massage chairs.

But since his furniture doesn’t allow for guests I had to knock it down 1 more point. So a total of a 7.5

Ambience 5/10:

You make 40 million dollars a year dude. You said you’ve been using this basement for 30+ years. Why is it not nicer? Maybe more color and doesn’t look like the 1970s? Why is there no pool table or better lighting. Also, no fridge or kitchen? Come on Roger do better.

TV Set Up 8/10:

The TVs are solid. Two TVs is good. But I can’t give him a 10. He’s the NFL commissioner. You can first of all afford more and bigger TVs and second of all some lighting around them would be cool. I just think he could do better overall.

Overall 6.8/10:

Solid basement. If I was to pick this basement though in a draft it’s definitely a 3rd round pick. I won’t be telling my friends about this basement but it’s fine. I just expected more from a guy who makes $40 million dollars a year.
