Son Heung-min ‘to fulfil military duties’ in South Korea during Premier League lockdown

Source: Tottenham forward Son Heung-min is set to complete his compulsory military service to South Korea during the Premier League lockdown, according to reports.

It is mandatory for all South Korean males to fulfil a near two-year stint in the military.

Son was due to serve the same amount of time until he helped South Korea win gold at the 2018 Asian Games.

At the end of the day goo for Sonny. If this is his duty for his home country then he should surely do it. And what a better time then now when the world is at a crisis. He won’t be fighting at war or be in some extreme danger. Rather he will be helping out, training and fulfilling his duty. No Big deal. News like this does not make me optimistic of football returning this year however, but a season being declared over might keep Spurs in European football next season so I might not be the worst news for Spurs supporters.
