The couple’s donation amounts to over one million meals, which will benefit those in need in the Houston area “during this unprecedented time,” Schefter said in a tweet.
The Texans star received nationwide attention for his humanitarian efforts in 2017. Watt helped raise more than $37 million for victims in Southeast Texas displaced by Hurricane Harvey. The original goal was $200,000.
