Steph Curry Suffers Broken Left Hand As Warriors Struggle

Steph Curry Broken Hand

Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry broke his left hand on a hard fall during Wednesday’s game against the Phoenix Suns, the team announced. The two-time MVP was injured during a collision with Suns big man Aron Baynes in the third quarter.

General manager Bob Myers says Curry will undergo a CT scan, which will determine if surgery is needed, according to NBC Sports’ Kerith Burke. A cast is also an option and, at the moment, there’s no estimated recovery timetable, adds Burke. The 31-year-old struggled during his time on the court, posting nine points on 3-of-11 shooting, including 1-for-7 from distance. Curry entered Wednesday’s matchup averaging 24 points per game but was connecting at only a 26.7% clip from downtown.

The Warriors have struggled to extreme extents this year, while starting now 1-3. The Warriors have been a running joke on the internet in 2 out of the 4 games already this year due to the blowouts they have suffered in the first quarter.
