NFL Gives Steven Jackson A “Random” Drug Test After Signing 1-Day Contract

Another day in the life of the NFL… & another weird mistake. Lately it feels as if the NFL is the news for more negative news about the organization or the players than it is for good news… or just football in general. Well today there was another interesting story that makes absolutely no sense.

Steven Jackson, who hasn’t played a snap of football since playing for the New England Patriots in 2015, decided to finally ‘retire.’ As part of that retirement, he wanted to sign a one-day contract and retire as a part of the Rams, where he holds the all-time rushing yards record. He got that one day contract:

But of course the NFL found its way into making this a weird, yet, interesting story for the rest of America to enjoy.

Steven Jackson, who hasn’t played in 4 years, got a random drug test from the NFL… AFTER SIGNING A ONE-DAY CONTRACT TO RETIRE WITH THE RAMS. This is just gold by the NFL. Jackson respectfully declined via Twitter. Let’s not forget though, he was a BEAST.
