Report: Kevin Durant Is ‘Not Going To Play’ Game 6 For The Warriors

Kevin Durant, who will have an MRI for what the team says is a right calf strain, is “not going to play Game 6” against the Houston Rockets, Coach Steve Kerr said late Wednesday. “We can all pretend and say he’s doubtful,” Kerr told The Athletic’s Tim Kawakami, “but he’s not playing Game 6.”

While we all believed the injury was an achilles tear, it seems that the Warriors have a belief it is just a calf strain. The calf strain is clearly easier to deal with, but there are concerns that both will leave Durant out a few games. Game 6 is in Houston on Friday and we will wait to see if the Rockets win to find out if Durant will play game 7 on Sunday.
